I plan on 2 drinking parties.. one on New Years Eve for all of the smarter ones who haven't done their "research" and believe that this is T-00. The other will be on the actual "predicted" date in December.  My buddies and I plan on getting a couple handles of cuervo and wodka together, sittin watchin the news, taking shots for each suicide covered on the news those nights.

So it would seem that people believe the end is coming in 2012 through various means. Some believe there is a planet X that is going pass close to earth and throw off the polar magnetism so much so that; the tides are going to go haywire, volcanos are going to erupt, and many more doomsday riff raff.

This all seems like non sense to me because if a planet were nearing the earth, the effects would be slowly felt over time, not all of the sudden on a specific date.

Now, what I do think is going to happen.... probably nothing....  but what im worried about..... is the people that think the end of the world is coming, and start actin a fool cause they really believe its all about to be over. For instance, if your a Muslim Extremist and think that killing infidels is going to get you 72 virgins for all of eternity, and you truely believe the world is about to end in 2012, your probably gonna try to take out as many infidels as you can. I hate to use Muslims as an example cause they get scrutinized so much as it is but thats best example I can give.  But even a non religious person that truely believes our way of life is over in 2012, I would imagine as that date nears, they are going to stop caring so much abut the law and whats right and wrong. And just do whatever the hell they want, cause, what the hell, as far as they are concerned 90% of the population is about to die anyway, so why not go steal a lambo just so u can drive 1 before u die, why not blow something up just for the hell of it. This is what im worried about, people thinking that its all gonna be over and doing stupid things because of that mentality.
     And what truly scares me, is that if people start doing things like this, it will give governments around the world (especially ours) a means to take more civil rights and liberties away. The right to bare arms, freedom of the press, free speech. And even if these things arnt fully taken away, they will be even more constrained then they are now. Because in all reality people.... even though we are supposed to have freedom of the press... its not completely free. If you turn on BBC news your going to hear about shit that you'd never hear about on american news, although you should be hearing it, its important stuff, but instead they are doing a story on the local block party, or how its hot out and everyone tryin to cool off at the local pool/lake/beach.

 So My point is, are any of u guys worried that either something crazy is going to happen in 2012, or that people thinking the world is gonna end are going to do some crazy stuff that is gonna affect our lives ?

Well, I just want to say a quote. This is with out reading all 9 pages of comment, so I don't know where all this led. But, a great philosopher once said, "Ignorance is the only evil". It epitimises the 2012 situation. Ignorant fools who actually believe, that these pretty well unfounded doomsday theory's, are going to come true, would do shit like that.
