My head is finally together enough to sting some words together.
From a musical stand point the weekend was great for me. Everything I heard was good at the redbull stage, and the only thing I didn't really enjoy was how dark the dubstep at Sunday afters was. I might have enjoyed it had I not been in fear of what it could do to my psychy at that time.
I wished more than anything that unfoldz could have made it out, because I bailed on everyone to go watch Plastikman and that shit was MAGIC!
As far is single call outs... here we go
Kai - your liquid is damn good, and your digitz are just wacky. I wish we could have got to throw down on the music for a little bit longer because I was really enjoying what we were doing.
Nene - it was nice seeing you again. Next year you need to send me a shopping list before hand so we can have the Detroit taco show down.
VERB!!!! This guy! Aside from being a pretty dope dancer, he is one hell of dude! Every year I seem to have one or 2 people who I really click with, and this year it had to have been Verb and Austin! If there is ever anything going on down in tennesse, you call me up brotha, I am good for the drive.
Austin, again, great dancer, but an even better person. While I do enjoy all the floasis people there are only a few I think I would hang with if I didn't dance, you are definately one of the ones I would hang with. The dance session in the underground with you and verb was the highlight of my weekend dance wise.
Tommy - You are by far the most interesting liquid dancer there is right now. While you don't have a very showy style, it is the most unique, and it seems like new flow paths are perpetual with you.
Itch - It was nice to have you out again. Your style quickly draws people in, and your charm as a dancer keeps them there. You have some battle qualities that many liquid dancers lack. Good people to the fullest you are.
Scott - Your dancing is dope, always has been. Keep up the great work. I hope things start to pan out for you back home so next year you can have a more enjoyable time. If not... please learn home to grill ramen outdoors :)
Shameless - My Michigan homey, your digitz sessions were so on point this year. Your girl seems like she understands the party vibe... keeper in my opinion. It was great to see you out, maybe after pretty lights gets back from the UK you cna road trip with me to catch them.
Chico, man you have a vibe that radiates off of you. One that says I am here to have a good time, and nothing will take that away from me. Your dancing is awesome, and the fact that you are all smiles when you do it makes it fun for everyone to watch. Smart on your part to jump in on Lucas after Tom wore him down a little :)
PWT - holy fuck thanks dude! Your gift was well recieved not only by me, but by half the floasis crew. Between that and what I already had it made for a half-cocked first 2 days. On the dancing tip, I have to raise my glass to you, going up against someone as dope as Lucas took massive nuggets!
Lucas - While you didn't do the amount of liquid I thought you would, you made up for it in ten fold with the sickest digitz I have ever seen in my life. If you don't toot your own horn, I will, Lucas has the best digitz I have ever seen by far. A few years ago this guy had a few nasty blow ups, but now aside from the old blow up, he has a foundation so solid and such a great sense of pacing that he can go on for ever, never looking stale, never uninteresting. I wish we could have thrown back a few shots, I just fergot there was a bar at the afters until it was too late.
Tiny - beast, nuff said!
E-rizl - I didn't talk to you much, but your style really caught my eye at the afters. very unique, nice slow controled movements. I will definately be on the look out for you coming up quick in the years to come. Your set of teachers is unparalleled, like being taught how to smoke weed by Red and Meth and Cheech and Chong at the same time.
