and honestly i have no interest to listen to slick dogg sing on his talk box and hear the same repetitive poppin sounds played at every dance event. i like our music fuck you very much.

and how can you be 'with' the guy who is recommending dance guests at an event when said guy doesnt actually ever attend any dance events (and isnt even coming to this one!)? thats like me recommending the nhl what year and model zamboni they should buy for the ice and ive never attended a hockey game in my entire life.

Not sure if you're cursing at me, but I've a mind to say fuck you regardless.  I was just throwing out ideas.  It's all I've done since day one.  Don't like my ideas?   Cool, please offer your dissenting opinion RESPECTFULLY.  After all, this IS a FORUM for discussion, but discussion with some tact tends to produce the best results.

With that said, leave me out of your personal crusade.  I really don't fucking appreciate you assigning me to anyone's side simply because I think having wavers involved at a liquid event is a good idea.

To boot, I, as you, think speaking about a lack of participation is incredibly important (Yes, before you got started, many of us were already saying the same).  And unbeknownst to you, the last time I did so with this very same person, I was blatantly censored (very quietly of course) by not one but two people and my comments were removed (probably without anyone knowing).  A situation that led me to quit posting for 3 months and stop talking to Kai for the same amount of time.  So in the future when you assume to have the slightest fucking clue as to who's "side" I'm on, stop.  You don't know my motives.  You don't know what you're talking about when it comes to me.  So, please don't put words in my mouth and attach more meaning to what I say than the general point that is intended.  As you can tell, I really really don't appreciate that.  Because if I have more to say on the subject, I'll fucking say it.

Lucas, the success of this event and the growth of our dances and our culture comes first and foremost, above anyone or anything.  What you're saying about him, even if I know it's 100% true, is to me petty and unimportant compared to the whole.  Because when people, especially people with loud voices, don't show up or try to participate in the things that matter most, like this conference, they remove more of their influence and legitimacy than anyone could on a forum.

Anyway, I get the point.  No G-style.  Slick Dogg preaches.  It was just an idea.  Moving on.

its a saying Dave.
and youve known me too long to take the surface of my verbal forum shenanigans as serious as you just did. grow a fucking pair.

Welp, looks like I failed at that whole restrain thing again.  Sorry guys.  Was having a really shit day yesterday.

To get back to the topic at hand, do we have any official confirmations on anything yet?  It feels like we're getting really close to the point that this thing needs to be presentable to people so they can more precisely plan.  On that note, I'd really like to see a confirmation list somewhere really visible without having to look through 10 pages of posts.  As people (especially people you don't know about) see who all is coming in one digestible place, I think more will be prone to make the trek.

kai is trying to get a blog up w/official updates

i think the venue has been confirmed? maybe you guys should start thinking about tentative schedules next, so you can have something of substance to promote even if you have to put TBA for music/djs?

Agreed.

With the exception of giving money, Is there anything specific that any of us can do to help?

From the community...I don't really want any money, unless your purchasing a T-shirt.  I just would like you to secure your travel plans here.  We are getting gut wrenchingly closer to this weekend and there is all the stress that goes along with it.  As far as having guest come out to the conference...my main concern is getting LPe and Tiny to the conference.  People voiced their opinions about having those two dancers being the elder representatives MONTHS ago.  So, working out all that right now, and will post up when I have conformations.
Some weeks past people were talking about getting some poppers involved in the event.  Let me be extremely clear about this....
If you'd like to invite people to come, GREAT!!!, and there will be plenty of time for everyone to share and learn before n after the actual conference.  However, if I'm going to bring in anyone to teach or lead a panel from the popping community it will be Dancing Dave and D-skreet of the groovefellas.  Both are extremely nice, humble, and AMAZING dancers.
The key word is IF...The way I'm working the resources right now are as followed
1)VENUE
2)Tiny and Eric
3)Doing what I can to help the rest of our community get here

This event is for us by us and I want as many people to be able to come share in it.

:D

Will you seriously stop following me around the forum like a little puppy dog trying to start drama and dragging other people into it?
