ATL's next batch......

These guys are moving mixtapes.....I'm sure an albums in the works.....They remind of early '90's rap here....I'm rootin' for them to get national play

Hollyweerd - Supa Eazy

Yelawolfs from 'bama and the other 2 are local....  I think Outkast signed 'em .....TONS of hype but so far I'm only diggin' this track

Yelawolf - I Wish (Remix) (ft. CyHi Da Prince & Pill) (CDQ)

i agree w/ tmy on this one in that there are many dope (even undiscovered) mc's, but the beats that are being produced are boring at best.  there are a lot of great ones, but i think for the most part theyre soulless, minimal and copypasta'd.

recently ive been checking out Ozomatli's old stuff w/ Chali 2na.  Wish all instrumentals were as hot as those tracks. they've got real depth to them.  not just kicksnareclap, wash rinse repeat.

basically what it comes down to is i dislike it when hiphop instrumentals are made with the idea in mind that the vocalist will make up for the lack of depth in the track.  when i hear a hiphop track, i want the instrumental to be good enough to where it's good WITHOUT the vocalist.

hiphop is more than just the emcee.
