I started trying to figure out a particular movement sequence (somebody on this board from an older clip) a couple of weeks ago, and i thought it would be a cool clip-show-n-tell thingy for here.
If you choose whatever sequence you want from any liquid clip, try and break it down and learn it.... then do it and see if people can guess what ur imitating.

Its pretty difficult, but i felt like i was able to see liquid from another dancer's perspective, if only for a few seconds, and it was really cool.

that is a cool idea...but I can only do LPE....and I dont do em well :) BUT, I would love see whatever body else comes up with.

Sweet... I was linked here from the part 2 thread. I was thinking the same exact thing, lol! I think this is an awesome idea- the only variation that I was thinking of was that we would be given a clip to study and then try to find something within that clip to create new movements off of (ie off of one simple step or a series of moves)... But any which way this goes I'm down!

i love the idea. again, it needs someone to organize it though, lay out rules and deadlines, etc. *nominating sifi* :P

quick question before any rules get laid down (something to think about): does the movement have to be available via a previous users clip? ie: i've seen many dancers do things in real life that i've never seen in their clips. am i allowed to imitate that movement or would that be considered unfair? (just something to chew on)

yeah man you people can't start these threads without thinking that you will have to organize everything

it's always fun to try another dancer's style on for size

I would say that the movement should be something a clip that your video can be compared too... just to see how you took it to the next level or were able to obtain it. (I suck at "copying" other moves, so I was hoping it would be something that I could bite and chew up and then use it in my own style... sequencing would be hella tough, imo)

well there's no reason why we can't do both...as long as someone organizes them. we've been kind of stagnant on video ideas for a while now and we seem to have just got an influx so we can spread them out and make it a bit easier on everyone.

one for december, one for jan, one for feb.
