yeh I was thinking more like......   you post the 5-10 second clip, and then the other people have to guess which clip you are copying.

If you are copying sequence from real life then its a bit harder to guess (for people who didn't get to see it).

It can be tedious at times if you consider drills tedious. I don't. So i found it really fun.
But even if it is boring for you, at the end you might learn something you never thought of before. I learned heaps just from the 3-4 seconds i tried to figure out.

Rules? hmmm

Find a clip with a sequence you want to try and copy.

Post it by the end of December. 5-10 seconds worth. Freestyle in and out of the sequence.

Everybody guesses. hahaha

you only have to perform 1 small sequence that is generally considered unique to another dancer (for instance: eric's footwork with some orbital paths).

would it be a specific clip or like a dancer's style? i think a specific clip might be hard to identify

also, is somebody going to choose somebody else's clip or style, like with pick a song? having someone else pick migh tbe good for comfort zone

So if it's just some random clip out in the interweb, I wouldn't be able to guess who the person was copying b/c I haven't seen all the clips or dancers out there... could it be a pool of clips to choose from and then we could decide from the pool (make the pool 2 or 3 times larger than people so it wont be easy or something like that)... Also, doing 2 of these "comps" would be kind of hard by the end of the month b/c of the holidays. Could we shoot for a little later?

well i think before the date is set, SIFI needs to lay down some more detailed rules (with the rest of the comments taken into account).

ok...
 more rules haha.

Select a liquid clip. Any liquid clip that has a dancer from this board in it. That's the pool to select from.

Dont copy their style, straight up copy and paste a sequence from a clip onto your body. Break down what they are doing move for move. The sequence can even be 3 seconds, it really doesn't matter. As long as it is a sequence, and not just a single move.

Presumably we'll be choosing a sequence that we find particularly interesting or sick. So chances are fair that others on this board will be able to guess who it is that you're copying. All it takes us one correct guess.

Pick your own sequence. Comfort zones will be challenged if you really commit to learning the sequence. If not, you'll at least learn something new.

Im saying by the end of December. But if that's too soon, make it by Jan 15. But i think end of December is reasonable (easy for me to say i've already started working on mine hehe).

Sound fair?
