The head is simple in your case. It might just be the camera angle though. It looks like the old looking at my flow problem haha. You don't have to be a locker just be mindful to raise your chin up a little. So yeah the look at the audience. You probably don't even have this problem when dancing in public. It's probably just a clip thing like most other people.

Up until your post, i've wanted my body and leg movement to simply be a frame for my arms/hands/fingers/head.  almost similar to how Frequency uses his body.  i'd love to hear suggestions as to a different path though if you have any in mind.

Ok I'll roll with the frame concept. My number, number, number one thing I personally want you to get rid of, and a variation of it shows up in almost every one of your clips, is the bent leg pose. One example would be 1:09. You're often seen hitting this pose and then leaning in some fashion with it. It looks like it has been ingrained in your muscle memory too. Why do you do it? I'm not asking that sarcastically either I want to know why. If you like it then ignore this and roll with it. I don't like it. It's just not visually appealing.

I also realize the enormity of removing something like that, something that seems like it's a huge part of your dancing from what I've seen.

Moments I would personally like to see more of would be 1:32. I was telling Distortion in his journey about interacting the hands and body while doing the digital robot and I would send him a clip... I don't need to. That little section was along the lines of what I was talking about. And you only did it for a second so it wasn't played either.

Last thing I noticed and again it carries over many times in many clips is that sway motion you do. Sometimes it comes out of a hop with a upward rail haha. Any time you lean or sway I would like it to be precise. Don't be afraid to use a clean dimestop to make it crisp. The more crisp it is the more it will compliment how advanced your arms are.

The next level for you won't come from arm hand upgrades it'll come from slight body upgrades imo. But like I said before people criticize out of what they like and what they do in their dance. I too struggle with awkward body placement and just general awkwardness so I want 2009 to be the year I remove that albatross from my liquid. That's why I've brought it up so many times in so many clip critiques.

Crap I forgot my point haha. My point was try and diversify your poses (make them more aesthetically pleasing) and smooth out your transitions between them. Also trying to ignore your hands and arms was probably one of the hardest things ever. The hand swirl thingy with the snare roll around :46 is one of the best things I've ever seen caught on tape.

yeah, diversify poses, good call.  i don't know why i do the one you speak of, it feels natural to me though (if you cant tell by now).  dunno if that's just because..., or if i got it from someone.  i feel as if i have no inspiration for poses though, as if any pose i would work myself into would either be a) derived from a popping pose or b) so weird that it wouldnt compliment my current style.  :-/

haha me and Birdage have opposite views. I was thinking how the ol knee bend pose is a keeper! and that thing at 1:32 was not particularly to my liking.
ANyways.....Kai keep the knee bend pose! Keep it! Just strengthen it and don't throw it away!
As for poses in general....i think making them stronger and more confident would help...more dynamic too. They looked a lil timid to me. Core strength is good for that.

cool stuff....i don't have audio so i can't here the music. so i'll have to comment later, when i've heard the tunes.

Yea def. Kai is all about musicality and his dance is on point as hell when it comes to that aspect. Give this a second watch with the music for sure.

yep...got some headphones...
This clip is so interesting to me, because without the music, the movement seems out of context. The contemporary stuff i do, the movement IS the context (or maybe the body in space is more precise).... with or without music makes little difference.

 Anyways....sick clip!
There is a slight emotional element to parts of that song... if u could bring ur musicality to express those emo bits it'd be super sick imo.

im kinda jealous.... my liquid is in the slop shop, this looks so clear!!!
