i'd say it's much more influenced by Rube Goldberg contraptions that robots.  i dont necessarily think adding dimestops to a dance implies a robotic nature.

true, but a robot's intention is to operate like a human.  therefore, a person's intention while trying to immitate a robot is the attempt to immitate a machine immitating a person.  my intention is to immitate machines that do *not* immitate persons.
