my cat doesnt understand the concept of a mirror
« on: February 27, 2009, 10:31:46 PM »

so yea, clip here

biggest issue i see is with leg and foot placing, its literally shortbus at points. scott gave me a good tip a couple weeks ago tho and i been trying to remember it when i can. i focused mostly on just spatial stuff in these clips and having really solid arm and hand relationship because i felt that was lacking in the clips before this.

edit: like i said in the other clip my focus will be  spatial/threads/levels/posture/

nother edit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZzcXSab_dKQ&fmt=18 looks much better.

You sir are badass....my fav. part was 2:40 to 3:00, looked unreal, like some animated Liquid.

ya my endgame is to completely mix animation, miming, and liquid, theres alot more animated stuff in the myspace clip i posted in my journal if u havent peeped that one, i havent been keeping up on attempting it too much tho cause it really kills my practice time, shit is so taxing on my body since i'm not used to it, can only go a track or 2 before i need a long breather lol.

i would make it one of my focus goals but i'd like to not be sore all month too :)

Really liking the way you shift your perspectives around.  I'd say i was digging on about 1/2 the ground transitions as well.  I'd say super good clip to start with, stucko's the limit on this and can't wait to check it out.

Wow, the move at 1:35 to 1:40... lets just say I would have slept with you for those 5 seconds. The flow at 3:14 to 3:20 was IMHO he goal that every liquider should be reaching for. The speed control and execution of the paths were stellar.

In many ways I tend to think of you and Sifi as my peers since we all started at about the same time. It's weird to see almost a complete opposite take on liquid from what I do. But I guess that's owed to influences. One day I'm going to try and learn liquid this way to round myself out.

Like everybody already said blah blah blah you're good. You probably know your good also. You take up space and project a large illusion. It must be really neat to watch in person. You've probably gotten the "your the greatest dancer I've ever seen" line about now. So my advice to you is rather simple...

Six months ago I was dancing in a club and some crazy old guy burst through the middle of the crowd and came at me. I thought he was going to strangle me. His eyes were really intense. I don't know if he was drunk or what but he came at me with those intense eyes and grabbed my shoulders. "Whatever you do don't stop dancing. You should never quit dancing. This means a lot." I took his words at face value. And now I pass them on to you. Except I'm not wearing white sneakers and high water jeans with a mustard yellow t-shirt tucked into them.

So don't stop. Don't become complacent with your skill set. Your good but you still lack the final ingredient to take you up to that final level. The jaw drop level. And just so you know I don't know how to get to that level either. Pretty worthless review right haha.
