You do dance differently. I don't know if I have a say in this but your other Feb clip, the "haven't posted a clip in a while" definitely shows your liquid improvements since I met you a year ago. Again, I shouldn't be talking, but this is from an "outsider perspective." This definitely lacks the PWTom element.

:) Talk it up friend but I expect to see your summer liquid clip up in June ;)
For cereals though, your hammering home the fact that I'm a different dancer on camera.  Not sure how to change that, other than invite like 100+ people over to my crib on the nights i want to session.

Perhaps I'm a clown without an audience when I record.  Watching this clip again I can definitely tell I was thinking way to much.  It's good to know that I've at least set the bar low!!!

There's no low bar. I think you bring up a good point in that you're concentrating on the dance as opposed to when your out and having a good time, inspired; there's a group energy going on and you just get into your dancing. Dunno, guess that works for some people, not for others.

Maybe since ther's 4 of you now in the Chicago area, instead of focusing dancing by urselves in your living rooms, you guys set a date or two to dance at someone's place as opposed to a party. I know I know you'd like a dance studio, but meh choose whoever has the most space available.

I think your being to hard on yourself. I mean, would you rather be a dancer that looks great on camera and in living room clips, but when people see you out, they are like... "meh, seen better out of him"
Or a dancer that blows peoples minds when they see you dance in person cause it smashes any footage of you currently on the internet.

Because thats what happened to me the first time I saw you in person getting down. I was taken back by your house dancing, popping, and waving, and captivated by your pantomiming & digitz, but but most of all, you have an energy, a visible groove in your dance. Some thing that some of us only catch in spurts, just pours out of you the entire night.
When you learn to open up your liquid, your gonna be a problem .

haha, flattery get's you everywhere my friend.  I'm not being to hard on myself it's just an assessment of myself as a dancer.  I have these walls when it comes to certain things and I'd really like to get over them.  It can be very frustrating, much like my eternal struggle to learn the wich-a way.

Those were some very nice words and I don't get to see my dance like that, so if it was even 50% true...thank you!

P.s. I'm already a problem

dammit i had to type this up twice, too early :)

definite improvement here, more energy, more hand relationship and straiter angles. this track however lol, still demands faster liquid and harder stops than what ur currently doin, dont sweat that tho as any of us would have a hell of a time getting down to this song. i DO have a couple suggestions for you to work on though:

1. threads, my experience with them is that you get the biggest illusion when one part  is moving and the other is perfectly still, think of it in a miming aspect, putting your arm in the box/hole or the box/hole over your arm, if both parts are moving the illusion gets weaker, this is something i havent fully developed with my threads yet but plan to.

2. rewinds, i dont really use them much at all. but from what i observe theres 2 things u should keep in mind about them. they are best when only done once(you do alot in succession). and are best when surrounding a significant/blowup move or atleast at the very end of a movement, you were using them at parts where ur halfway through a movement or on a basic movement.

diggin the clip tho, expecting you to kill it this weekend tho ^_^

Hahhh this clip makes me happy. A lot of times, I feel like liquid lacks people coming into their own, but now I can point to this and say, "hey, we've got another guy."

I saw big improvements all around. I really like your behind the back stuff. Behind the back stuff can be hard to pull off or find variation in, but you do it well and that rewind at 4:15 with the digits melted my brain. I agree with tommy on the timing of rewinds, though.

I sort of think you got caught in a weird spot between going slow and going fast. You might have been able to pull off slow liquid to this track if you had a subtle sway to it mixed in with small-scale bursts of speed. More speed and energy could have nailed it too, but that can be difficult to do well in a technical style. I don't know, musicality is not my strong point.

Great job! :)

thanx guys, i'm going to catalog all those critiques n let them re-surface this weekend.  I felt like for some reason i was able to bring a lot more energy into this clip but yeah the track i selected :(  Lesson learned.
