I just never think of Tea as being a very good mixer due to it being mostly water.

You need to drink more scotch then you will realize how awesome water is for not destroying flavor. But tea and rum that's a good combo.

I sure do wish my car would start....

What's wrong with it? Have you checked the gas? That's usually what's wrong with my lawnmower.

Your telling me nothing, my main drink is Johnnie red, followed by black, George Dickel, and Woodford Reserve... all I do is whisky. I used to dirnk clear though, and I know for a fact that clear and watery drinks is a no no. I spent many a times throwing up stolli's and green kool-aid.

well first off who the hell drinks GREEN KOOLAID ;O, thats a receipe for fail right there.

and as for the tea thing, kev u might unconsciously thinking of regular(gross) tea, and not processed flavored tea, which is closer to juice in flavor than tea,  and excellent at masking the taste of alcohol, my favorite mixers used to be rasberry and lemon iced teas from snapple or lipton, they mix emaculately with most clear liquors and wiskey, havent tried it with other dark liquor.

Vodka and red wine now there's a drink I can sip on. I too mostly despise clear liquors. Give me a crown and coke any day. But I'll take clear over any liqueurs. They're just a syrupy mess, except for Soco. They should be regulated to mixers.

just got back from the doc and pharmacy, now i have a bag of antibiotics, a bottle of cough syrup with codeine, a pack of cigarettes, and a couple of hi8 tapes. even though it's all purposeful, except the cigarettes, it sounds like a combo for trouble

I have been playing IT all day long.  It is a loathsome job that has left me with a distaste in my mouth the likes of which I haven't known lately.  My job seemed simple.  Install software on a newly formatted machine and make it run better.  Also, install a NAS box that is being used like an external HD.  The latter took me an hour and a half to get to work once I really started hammering away at it.  The problem it turns out lies in our security suite.  While I was turning it off for the purpose of tinkering, there were parts of it still running in the background.  Couple this with constantly changing settings and Windows Firewall magically turning itself on for unknown reason, and you get one pissed off person.  BUT, I am now a master of sharing drives in windows xp.  The other job of getting this computer to run well.  I fucking hate this job because I'm a perfectionist.  I spend one day pushing software and tweaking till my eyes bleed, and then, I try to forget this process as quickly as I can.  What happens is that I know jack shit about software.  Oh well, I'm a veritable hardware guru for the most part.  I can build it to run.  Leave the menial labor to someone else.  Oh wait, that's me in both cases.  Shit......

I don't know, sounds like an okay gig to me. I'm more of a hardware guru myself but at least your getting down to the nuts and bolts. My IT job just skims the surface of everything, I barely learn anything new and all the stuff I did know I've forgotten.

But it's not all bad, my bosses are really cool and I like the majority of the people I work with.

I'm a big fan of the green tea. This brand is my favorite.

i recommend trying genmai cha if you like hearty, unsweetened green tea http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genmaicha

it's a good drink for having company over when it is cold outside and you want to make them feel welcome

i never understood being a "hardware guru," for personal computers at least.  As long as you have parts on hand, defective hardware troubleshooting is a simple swapping game.  Gruntwork, if you ask me.
