Yes sir, bringing the balance on this one, and wanting others to do the same.  It's easy to complain about why your life sucks or why you want to say "fuck" my life.  Now I challenge you intellectuals of the liquids to provide us with some stories of WIN/AWESOMENESS ya know, the things care bears are made of.

I'm just going to go with one that happened to me today.

I greatly dislike math, I've struggled with it as far back as I can remember, and today I have this massive quiz.  So I busted ass on some problems last night.  I collected a grip of shit I didn't understand and staked out my professors office after my first class.  When he showed up I proceeded to ask a million in one questions, which he answered in the order received.

So he began to teach me what i was doing wrong.  It seems I was having a problem transferring things from the denominator into the numerator properly.  So he used an Aerosmith reference I instantly got and  shot him back another song of theirs.  This lead to a three minute joke crossing classic rock artists and math.  It was hilarious, lightened what was a tense situation for me, and by the end I understood the concept.

I think reaching people on their level, bringing them to your level, and then sharing the moment is an amazing feeling.

So yeah, this had me loving my life, ohhh and somewhere in today i had a funny thought...

It was of KAI @ Green Dolphin in the middle of a cypher "jacking"...I come back to this one a lot, it's the BEE's Knees I tell ya. :)

Great stuff.


My girlfriend is coming home from a year away, doesn't get much carebear than that shit. I am so damn excited about it. Sarah is the first person I have ever really made my self vulnerable to, before her I was emotionally unavailable. So her returning is big shit for me and I am super amped.

Ohh and I only drank 2 times in 2 weeks!!!! Fathers day ruined a good streak but you never turn dad down on a few shots... not on his day atleast.

I really hate my research program this summer. Not working with my department. A month's passed not having started on my project, but somehow still working 40+ hours a week with my mentor on HER project. But at the end of the day, it only means I have 1 month left, and will make $3,500 for two months of work. As much as I would have LOVED to do my own legitimate research, not some book review, but whatever.

I also love my life because I am getting paid to go to school. Tuition and fees paid for, plus 20K stipend a year,


Man this really has been my best year. Graduated with a B.A. survived an internships, 5 1/2 classes, worked two jobs, applied to 11 grad schools, got to go to Mexico, with almost all my family there like old times, had a 1 yr anniversary with Kai   ^_^, made amazing friends, got to go to DEMF, etc.
